Matthew Harrison
Biography
I would describe myself as an empathetic user experience designer. My work currently focuses on user interface design and the importance of grid systems.
I have noticed the positive impact that technology can have, and I am hugely motivated by ensuring the lives of allusers are more straightforward.
Perspective
Perspective is an experience that helps to break down complex information into simple concepts, with the goal of helping people to understand the universe. The information is broken down into simple visuals, text and colours that ensure there is a positive learning experience.
The experience is split into three chapters:
1. Where are we?
2. Do aliens exist?
3. Where did we come from?
Gents
Gents is a smartphone app formales struggling with depression who feel hesitant to talk about their problems. The purpose of the app isto provide the user with information on what depression is, how to treat it, to give them a routine to follow, be inspired from success stories,and have access to emergency contact information if they need it. Gents was an artefact for my dissertation which looked into the importance of empathy when designing apps.
