Charlotte is a recent graduate from the University of Salford, where she studied digital media. During her time at University, she explored many aspects of design with a developed focus on UX/UI design, vector illustration, branding, web design, and started to get into 3D modelling towards the end of her time there. She hopes to progress and refine skills in these areas in her post-graduate work.
Every year, RNLI lifeguards and lifeboats race to rescue children and adults who find themselves in difficulty in and near the water. More than 700 people drown in the UK and Ireland EVERY YEAR, and many more have non-fatal experiences, sometimes suffering life-changing injuries. Your task is to create content to help educate children and adults to help them learn more about water safety and how to keep themselves safe in and near the water.
In response, I proposed to create an interactive animation where the user is prompted to make decisions at different stages of the story dictating how it will continue. At certain points in the story, the user is able to view information cards with content relative to the section of the story they are at. To create the interactive animation, I used Adobe Animate, HTML and Adobe Illustrator.
